Indian Farmers have traditionally used Deoiled Neem Cake
(Azadirachta indica ) in their fields. The cake with high organic matter and nitrogen is used to enrich the soil. |

Neem cake reduce alkalinity in the soil. Calcium and Magnesium present, help in removing alkalinity. |

Application of Neem Seed cake to crop provides nutrients. It is reported that use of Neem cake in soil along with urea improves nitrogen uptake by 19.0% and has improved yield also reducing use of Urea. |

It has properties of insect repellent and is found to reduce root knot nematodes particularly Meloidogyne incognita, Rotylenchulus reniformis and Tylenchorhynchus brassicae. |
